Cat Lady

Nov. 9th, 2006 | 03:09 am
location: Chair
music: Christmas music...DONT MAKE FUN OF ME!!

I should be studying for my biology exam right now, but I am going to write in here instead.
I truly believe that I will someday be a Cat Lady. Yes, the woman who is alone, has many cats because she can, bit the reason that she really has them is to comfort her deep and utter loneliness. Cat Lady cannot find a man and decieds that she will be all by herself and have lots of cats to keep her company. I feel that I am already the Cat Lady in a few ways. A) I love cats and there just happen to be four, yes four, back at my house. " My cat" is Jay, the orange and white one who is less than a year old and likes me because I spoil him, go figure. B)I am coming to an understanding that i am pathetic since I can't even find a date for Sigma Kappas Formal (guy date here) then there is no hope with ever thinking that I will have a boyfriend or just an interest in someone. You might be thinking, oh, you are only 18 and you have all your life to have a boyfriend, enjoy college life and being single. Well, Diondra has been single since she was a freshman in High School....LOSER...(well, there was this one guy a few years ago, but we were never official, so I guess it doesn't count?) As you can see I know all about the single life, a little too well at times. I also know that when you go looking for something or someone that you will not find them. I'm not looking for a boyfriend, cause we know that isn't gonna happen, I am just looking for a maybe there might still be hope for you pathetic girl you. My words may be a little harsh, but lately I have just felt like a loser because I can't find a fucking date for formal, which isnt a big deal, it's suppose to be easy to get a date for events like that, not so much here. I am definitely in a Ba Humbug mood right now.....speaking of ba humbug/christmas/holiday season, i love it but hate it at the same time because for whatever reason that is when i feel the most down about not having a significant other to share it with........
So, the cat lady has started her life early. I better stock up on cat liter.

Peace

I hate how the weekends go by so fast. Luckily I don't really have too much to do today since my Exams were on Friday, and I have the same classes MWF.
This weekend was pretty eventful for once.I went home after class on Friday for Northwest's Homecoming. Alandra was on Homecoming Court and she WON Homecoming Queen, and Nolan won King! Yeah Choir people represent:)It was perfect timing with the whole lightning and pouring rain situation right after half time was over with.Lindsay had a bunch of people over and it was nice to see everyone, including Grace who came home from Wisconsin!!!
Saturday I came back here to school for the Football game, which we won 41 to 7. That was a fun event until the rain came and never stopped....came back to the dorm and ordered Chinese with Courtney and Amanda and just stayed inside since we were too lazy to go out in the rain.

This week.....

Sigma Kappas pinning is on tuesday, along with my parent's 20th wedding anniversary.Sigma Kappa is having a sleepover on Friday which is Elliott's (my brother) 11th b-day :)I am coming home Saturday and on Sunday going to a Tiger's game with my WHOLE family on my mom's side. That should be interesting since my cousin wants to bring his 2 yr old daughter to the game...what the hell..all she will do is scream since she doesn't talk...joy.

Hopefully this week will be better than this past one....no pets dying or more bad news please, thank you.

Why do bad things happen to good people. To teach us to be more thankfully and appreciative of our friends and family and life itself? Man. I am praying for you Nolan.

Soooo

Been at school for a few weeks now and I LOVE IT HERE!!! I am sooo glad that I decided not to go to MSU :) It wouldn't be for me.
For those who don't know my roommate moved out on Friday....she moved in Tuesday, the day we started classes. No idea why she moved out. She is from K-zoo, so my bet is that she is just living at home. The whole not even 4 full days of living in the dorm was too much, I don't know since she never talked and thats not too good for me since I talk non-stop for the most part.
What else about school.....
Made some pretty sweet friends from Bigelow and Group TWO FOUR! Going to the Football game on Saturday was awesome! Being in the second row in the student section isn't too bad, neither is being right behind all the football players.
Another thing is that I am joining a Sorority. Go ahead and judge me if you think that they are bad and blah blah blah....Rush week started today and its' been pretty sweet. There are 9 different Sororities to choose from. This weekend we finishing looking at the houses and ranking of them and on Sunday we find out which one we are in :)

A week from tomorrow is Northwests Homecoming...Yay for Alandra and Nolan being on Homecoming Court :) Big sister is proud of little sister, keeping the family name going for 2 years ;)So, I will be coming back for that and then back here on Saturday for the second home Football game, yay.

A quick update for now, later on might be a little better.

Peace

Oh yeah, I totally aced my music appreciation quiz today, which was a good was to start the day :)

Now that all of my friends have left for school, I am stuck in J-town until Tuesday, alone. This is not good. I started packing tonight to remind myself that I will be leaving pretty soon and better times are yet to come.
Hmmm what else....
I was going to blab about who knows what, but have become with a loss of words. Shocking I know.

Life

location: My room
mood: content content

Let me see....leaving Maggie's house the other night was really sad. We hugged goodbye and I started getting tears in my eyes but held them back until I went outside. I never stopped crying until sometime later when I was at home. Alandra was with me at the time and I told her not to be sad on your last day of high school because you have all summer to be with your friends and whoever you want to keep in touch with you will and whoever you won't you sure as hell don't have to. Mixed emotions are going on, but for the most part I have just been thinking about how I move in pretty soon and hopefully everything will be good again.  A new start/beginning is what I need, and I think everyone my age does right now. I know who I will keep in touch with, try to at least, and who I won't once everyone has gone there separate ways and whatnot. I am very excited to make new friends and move on to bigger and better things. No more J-town for a while. Who knows if I will live in Kalamazoo this coming summer or what. Time will tell with everything, it always does.

Thinking about High School has made me come up with some conclusions as of favorite times and whatnot. My favorite year was probably Senior year, but Sophomore year is right behind it.Junior year was probably the worst, but Freshman year isn't that far behind.
One of my all time favorite things about high school was being in Annie. One of the best times of my life. 304384038 times better than Beauty and the Beast (this is my system of rating for my enjoyment of being in the show). Singing with Jazz Band was pretty sweet as well.Homecoming Court was fun, and float building at my house was pretty neat. Vocal Dimension's music was the best Senior Year, and the was because it was Mrs. Treachers last year. Graduating was pretty cool since it was outside and wasn't 80 hours.
It's weird to me that my sister is a senior now and the first football game for northwest is Friday. I am planning on going to see my brother play in the Marching Band. I am excited to see the Marching Band perform since their show is Big Band music, which should be cool. I will sit with the parents with all the other band parents and have a grand old time. I'll probably get bored after half time and leave....but then do what?? Everyone will be gone. I could go up to MSU to visit Lindsay, or go to Big Rapids to see Maggie, but I'm sure the mom would rather I just stay at home.

Lindsay leaves today for MSU, and Mike leaves tomorrow for U of M band camp. I believe there is a shin dig @ Mike's tonight to fair well him goodbye.

Peace

Myspace

location: My room
mood: grateful grateful
music: Dave Matthews Band-Tripping Billies

Man oh man, I am sooo glad that I deleted my lovely Myspace. Sometime last week I finally deleted the dumb thing. Now a certain someone can't get a hold of me and leave me stupid messages, and other random people besides him. I know that I could of blocked whoever, or changed my setting to where only my friends could see my profile and whatnot, but I didn't use the dumb thing anymore. I only checked to see if I had a new comment or anything. I feel A LOT SAFER now as well. :)

Anyways.....Tonight is Maggie's Cook Out Shin Dig. The last night before she leaves :(  :( Where did time go?? Everyone is moving away so soon, and I'm still her in Jackson (okay, so I move in 2 weeks) but still, time kinda just flew by the past year. Hopefully all goes well and everyone can get along for once. That would be a nice way to say goodbye.

Off to finish my laundry and clean.

Peace

I finally called and talked to my roommate today. I was happy when I pronounced her name the right way, which is Alva by the way. She is a sophomore and from Kalamazoo. So, this means that I will be by myself from the 29th till the 1st or 2nd. She also said that she comes home every weekend, so I get the dorm to myself then, not too bad.
I move in 2 weeks from today, woo hoo :)

Off to bed pretty soon

Summer is coming to an end

Aug. 14th, 2006 | 01:56 am
location: My room
mood: blah blah
music: Damn bug flying around

I am really tired right now, but I am in the mood to write in this thing. I'm pretty bummed about Maggie is leaving on the 17th. She is the first to leave and I am the very last, and i'm even moving in 3 days early and  I will be by myself, no roommate until the 1st.....
I still have yet to talk to my roommate and it seems like everyone else has. She is probably thinking how the hell do you say this chicks name, and i'm thinking the same thing. I should probably call her tomorrow and try to figure things out.

Tonight, Maggie, Mike, Kelsie and I went to Parlour to visit Lindsay since it was here last night working there. We got free ice cream :) After the Parlour we were stumped on what to do on a Sunday night in Jackson. Oh wait, it's like that every night. We all pile in my car and head over Circuit City to see Justin. Wellll, they were closed but his car was still out front. We all call him and leave a few voice messages to keep the tradition of last week going. Since he doesnt answer we drive by the movie theater to see the movie times and decide to see Step Up, which wasn't until 9:40. We had over and hour to kill so we head over to Target. While we are there a man approaches us in the shoe isle and is looking for Black Heels in a size 10 for this girl that he is going to a club with.Maggie and I try to help him find some shoes and we come to the conclusion that he is a flamer. That was interesting. He was buying shoes for his sister, how nice.
Soon after this fun filled event, we had to leave Target since it was closing. I take everyone back to the Parlour to get their cars and then went to the movie theatre.
Saw the movie, which wasn't too bad, and then went over to Kelsies for a bit and now i'm home.
I am exhausted and going to bed.
Goodnight
and
Peace

Aug. 12th, 2006 | 12:17 am
location: Grandparent's Boat
mood: tired tired
music: Natasha Bedingfield, Single

Holy shit, I haven't updated this thing in forever.
Let's see....
The past few weeks I have been out of town for the most part.
I was in Bay Harbor, Petoskey, and Charlievox the last week of July for my aunt's b-day. Many exciting events happend, including my grandpa getting pulled over, some how ending up in a service elevator, and being on a boat with no air during the 10009343 degree weather.
This past weekend I went camping in Grand Haven for the second year in a row with Maggie, Grace, Lindsay, and Kelsie. I had more fun last year.....hmmm maybe because everyone got along for the most part?? Coming home, we stoped in Kalamazoo to eat lunch and go to the mall for a little bit. Lindsay was joking around saying that we should put our Choir Festival Cd in and listen to it. Being dumb, I put it in and we listen to Sing Me To Heaven. As soon as I pulled into the mallI recieved a call from my sister. She said that something bad happened, and someone died, Mrs. Treachers father. To me, it was a little weird getting that call as soon as the song ended and then sing the same exact song at the funeral.,The funeral was on Wednesday and it was probably the nicest one ( as dumb as that sounds) that I have been to.
After the service, my mom, and the rest of the siblings heading back up to Petoskey for my Grandma's B-day.
I am currently in Harbor Springs.....kinda boring. I just tired e-mailing my roomate, and my lovely wmu e-mail service deal is being shitty, not sure if it is working right . Oh joy. I guess I am just going to have to call my roommate, and pray that I'm saying her name the right way.
A little too tired to be writing all of this, but it needed to be done. Maybe I will remember some more info later about the past few weeks and write it down, Maybe not.

Peace
